The Yorkshire coastline is a diverse mix of highly-populated areas with significant levels of infrastructure, smaller towns and villages centred on fishing or tourism, and wide open spaces interspersed with rural communities.
Wherever we might be on the coastline though, there are human expectations, needs and pressures placed on our environment. As a partnership, the YMNP works collaboratively to encourage and enable responsible use and enjoyment of the marine environment; reducing the impact we have on sensitive areas and advocating for sustainability to be at the core of all activities.
